So first, a simple example of how this works. Using our "What is your birthday" example, we can mock up this code. Note: I'm using TypeScript because it enforces the concepts at compile time, but the JsJoda library itself enforces the concepts at runtime so that we get the best of both. - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago
Temporal is great, and the sooner it lands and is usable the better (AFAIK, there isn't a production-grade polyfill yet.) In the interim, JS-Joda [0] seems pretty decent, and doesn't use the wrapper approach. [0] https://js-joda.github.io/js-joda/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Dealing with human dates is non-trivial thanks to localization. The easiest thing to do is to start with something zone agnostic (like UTC or epoch) do your date calculation, and then shift that into the locale you want. date-fns is fine for basic date math, but if you want something more robust, with a more cohesive API, I'd recommend js-joda. How come the js-joda library is never mentioned in discussions about javascript date/time libraries? Its API is perfect and it has been around forever. But instead the community seems to keep inventing more and more new datetime libraries. I don't understand why js-joda seems to be ignored https://js-joda.github.io/js-joda/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
They already have that for JS! https://js-joda.github.io/js-joda/. - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
Strapi provides a centralized data managing platform. This makes it easier to organize, update, and maintain the FAQ data. It also automatically generates a RESTful API for accessing the content stored in its database. - Source: dev.to / 16 days ago
Https://prisma.io is popular as I understand it. I've been trying out https://strapi.io the last week and am thoroughly impressed. They both do much more than build queries. One big thing both do is automate database migration calculations. Strapi goes further and gives you a CMS and admin UI on top, as well as doing a lot more of the complex query building from a json object. Both still require a fundamental... - Source: Hacker News / 29 days ago
A headless one is responsible only for data management and providing an API for other applications to show this data. When talking about headless CMS, Strapi or Sanity comes to my mind first, but there are many more. - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago
I initially looked into CMS's like Strapi and Directus to possibly handle my admin UI + API all at once. I haven't found anything that looks like it can do this yet, but I'd be very happy to be proven wrong. I would prefer it to be based in .NET or Node.js since I am more familiar with those, but there's no reason I couldn't do PHP either. Source: 9 months ago
I would recommend using Headless CMS with no-to-low code techs like Strapi. With Strapi you can build backend using only the user interface. Therefore your API backend code changes by itself. My website is built with Strapi as backend and Nextjs as frontend. Source: 10 months ago
