A couple of things that I have found helpful are doing jigsaws on jigsawexplorer.com and resonant breathing (not at the same time). There are resonant breathing apps that help you keep pace with longer exhales and shorter inhales. For me trying to match my breathing is a good distraction without the stress of TV. I watch a video or two of my daughter on my phone at the start, then just try to relax, do a puzzle on jigsawexplorer.com or something. You can't recreate the experience of having your baby there, but you can work to not feel like you're at work! Source: over 2 years ago
