I used many language apps and programs before, but I found LinguaLift really provided me with the tools and encouragement I needed to become fluent. The app is great, but what really made the difference was the study plan they created for me and the tutor support.

The site is meant for Vietnamese speakers learning Japanese, but jdict.net (and the jdict mobile apps) has probably the best kanji handwriting recognition anywhere I've seen online. It can recognize the right kanji even if you slur the strokes together like in handwriting. Very useful for looking up kanji even if you can't read the Vietnamese definitions.
