• Having a hard time dealing with school

  Agree. I work at a community college. There are *so* many reasons for people to be behind, especially in math and reading but also in just general knowledge of things like history and science....   As far as resources, many have been shared here but I would highly recommend looking at Professor Leonard's YouTube channel. He has full lecture videos in playlists ranging from Prealgebra all the way to upper level undergraduate mathematics. For practicing these skills I would suggest Deltamath.com or ixl.com both are good resources. Try to setup a deltamath educator account, not sure if it's possible without... Source: over 1 year ago

• do you find it easier to put together a curriculum vs on online school?

  There are many, many free resources out there and the correct curriculum for your children will probably be a blend of everything (because, hey, they are unique.) It you want to get a little idea of what topics by grade level then look at ixl.com. But again, learn from the site and not pay for it unless you truly believe that's what you need. It was on one of those sites that was similar to abcya.com and you could make clones which could either stand still, crouch, or run by making a clone while running. • Homeschooling for upcoming year, input needed.

  Take time to experiment with different things to see what goes well for your family. My kids enjoy Khan Academy, I get worksheets from education.com , we use starfall.com and abcya.com. I suggest a lot of board games, learning though gaming is great. If you kid has gotten into "cheating" I suggest the Cheater Monopoly game, just for an outlet. My son is going into 5th grade.   Just look for fun activities for preschool level, hands on things. Follow holidays/seasons to do activities about those meaningful times in your lives. There are a lot of fun online sights like starfall.com, abcya.com, education.com (games and printables). Starfall is $30 for a year, we love it still.
