    Thank you everybody for your help, especially u/thisischemistry. I finally found a solution. My problem was the rtsp link that was not correct. The path depends on the brand of the camera.     I use Foscam cameras, block all outbound internet access to Foscam sites (I allow NTP) at the router and have an internal FTP server for storage. For access from my phone using Owlr I use port knocking to "hide/prevent" access until needed. Port knocking opens up a 60 second windows for my phone's current IP address to make the connection.
