Nextcloud running the News app [1] on your own server, either an old laptop/desktop or a SBC like a Raspberry/Orange/Banana/${fruit} Pi. You'll get total control over whatever you do with the thing, as much 'free' cloud storage as you want and loads of other possible services. Ah, the blessings of the Google-free Android experience get proven once again by this counterexample of Google - or rather those working for Google who are in control these feeds - pushing their agenda onto unsuspecting (...?) victims. Where did you get 15.4.5 from? The only versions I see for Nextcloud 16 is 14.2.2 based on the official app store: https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/news. Source: almost 3 years ago
