Hey! I've completed CS50 with a final project thats a full Website similar to Finance with a Flask python file, jinja templates, html, css, and a db file. I am attempting now to host this website, exactly as it appears when using 'flask-run' on a website with the same domain name as my project. Basically, publish the website for real. I bought the domain and first tried infinityfree.net for hosting, but found out... Source: 12 months ago
The problem was that the host: infinityfree.net upload file_maxim_ size is = 10MB and my files have multiple sizes that are larger than 10 MB, for example, .pck have 34MB , .wasm have 28MB and they did not upload, it was also good to watch console error, main was 404 and than I realise the file are missing , they didn't uploaded, and I didnt know why until I realise free hosts have file limit size for some... Other interesting projects to also follow: * Caprover * Dokku. Source: over 1 year ago
If I could make a recommendation, it would be to give Dokku a try. (Disclaimer: not affiliated, but like the project so much I sponsor it. My opinions are biased towards it.). Source: almost 2 years ago
My next favorite option is to host on a DigitalOcean VM. You can use Dokku to get your own mini-Heroku PaaS, or manage the VM yourself (following Microsoft's documentation). You can get a $100 60-day credit from a referral link - A good way to get started. Source: almost 2 years ago
