If you are really serious about keeping up-to-date (and probably few people are), then "watch" the page from which you downloaded the appimage with some notifier such as [FluxGuard[(https://fluxguard.com/). Because AppImages are so self-contained, you really don't need to update them unless you are needed new features or encounter bugs since updates to your system will almost never affect them.
