Yeah things like this exist. I have such a program on my computer for finding the best match for a given image, it uses the image to see if I have images that look similar to it (it displays a percent match of how close the provided image is to images on the system). It doesn't sound like you need animations or other effects here, just still images. If that's so, you could: Export the slides to high resolution images (at least high enough to match the highest resolution your projectors are capable of).
