What makes your product unique?

Image Assets Generator's answer

  • Focuses on developer assets sets (app icons, favicons, social cards) rather than general image resizing
  • Maintains exact platform dimensions while preserving aspect ratio
  • Available in multiple languages including English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese

App and web developers who need platform-specific image assets without having to design manually

  • Mobile app developers publishing to app stores

What's the story behind your product?

Image Assets Generator's answer

I wanted to publish an opensource tool to the MS Store and generating image sizes was incredibly tedious for 10+ versions of the same logo. I couldn't find a tool that just handled all the technical specs fast and easily without handholding.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Image Assets Generator's answer

  • React for the frontend
  • Hono API on the backend, powered by Bun, with Sharp for image processing
  • TailwindCSS for styling
  • Deployed on Cloudflare Pages (frontend) and a VPS (backend)

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Image Assets Generator's answer

  • I don't track users since it's a free tool with no login
  • Mostly individual developers based on the usage patterns

Image Assets Generator mentions (1)

  • Ask HN: What are you working on? (April 2025)
Frontend is textbook modern react: React19,next15,tailwind4 - AI mostly writes the code in the frontend (Cursor + Cline + sequentialthinking + context7 + my own custom "memory bank" process of breaking down tasks). AI is really, really good at this. I wrote this https://image-assets.etelej.com/ in literally 2 days 2 weekends ago with less than 10% of code being mine (mostly infra + hono APIs). - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago

InvoiceDen mentions (2)

  • Lessons from Building a Full Invoice App for the Price of a Netflix Subscription
The result is InvoiceDen, a React-based web app hosted on Cloudflare Pages, with backend functionality on an EC2 instance, all for about $8/month. - Source: dev.to / 21 days ago
  • Ask HN: What are you working on? (April 2025)
I built a simple PDF invoice generator a few months ago. Been polishing that up recently: https://invoiceden.com/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
