• Question about duoling

  Duolingo is fine for practice, if your bored, and if you have a decent grasp of the language. It does not teach you kanji at all, and kanji have multiple readings, you may know. So on a listening exercise, the word bank might have the kanji you know, but the furigana above it might not be what is being said in the listening exercise. • Beginner progression whilst travelling?

  I think something like the iknow.jp you mentioned could be good, as I feel rehearsing individual kana, or kanji which I'm probably not ready for, isn't that helpful on its own. Source: over 1 year ago

• Anyone got me beat on a pure Japanese streak?

  My Duolingo Japanese streak is only 943, but my iknow.jp streak is 2707. I also sometimes do the English for Japanese speakers course to change it up. I am a sucker for anything with a streak count. Although when I do the math for my streak on iknow, its like realizing how long I have been in my career for, and I am like "oh no... • Do you or have you used Italki to learn Japanese?

  I'm only using Italki to learn Japanese at the moment because I have discipline issues. Before I was using a website iknow.jp to learn vocabulary and Wanikani to learn kanji and some words. They just gave me vocabulary and kanji recognition. Source: about 2 years ago

  CS is computer science. Also check out edx.com It is hosted by Harvard and if you pay for the course which is very little you get a certificate from them. There is also groupings of courses were you can get a business certificate. Also check out udemy.com. Wait for the specials for $10-15. • Rant - Anyone else having trouble finding a job?

  Core coding and IT skills are a must though. Pick a language you followed and liked at Uni, check there is decent job demand for it, and do a udemy.com course on it (great value, great content, very cheap). Pair this with a major cloud (Azure or AWS) qualification which is pretty much a must these days, and you're much more attractive as an applicant. Source: 11 months ago

  Prompting is so new I don't think a degree is offered yet, but Microsoft has some accredited classes (FREE) - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/ and you can get a certificate on AI and chatGPT from https://udemy.com , I got a few from them :). Source: 12 months ago

  I am studying Salesforce administrator fundamentals at udemy.com. I am taking this course where the instructor provides a checklist of all the topics/subjects you will see in the test. For example, according to the instructor, who passed his administrator certification on his first try, teach the specific concepts you will see in the test. • Cheap/free language lessons

  If you're prepared to do self-study, take a look at the udemy.com learning site. I paid somewhere in the region of £15 (they retail for around £60-70 in general but always come on sale at some point) for a number of courses (incl. languages).
