   There are many new platforms for creating websites nowadays. But I still use WP and it works well. A lot of plugins and templates. Easy to find a developer to customise theme. No monthly fees. So, I like it.

  I'd say you either use the generated profile picture and the services you signed up for use the same generator, like this one: http://identicon.net/ or your email address is not set to private and they can find your account on GitHub (don't know why they would do that though).
