Ethereum is not just currency at its core, its a smart contract platform which is used to implement distributed consensus, where each participating party sign the result, with their consensus algorithm. This sounds similar to what Revolut and other fintech companies ask to do for identity verification (selfie and photo of id). There is also Stripe Identity [0], which costs $1.50 per validation. Yeah, but wouldn't adding identity/age verification solve the issue? If I recall correctly, they use Stripe for payments (at least in the web version), and Stripe provides strong identity verification (https://stripe.com/identity).
