Hux is an online marketplace where you can instantly book a local service provider. Like Airbnb, you can compare local service providers on reviews, total price, pictures, availability and instantly book an appointment online. Currently focused on house cleaning, Hux will expand into a wide-variety of services in the future. Hux is venture funded by Tim Draper (Silicon Valley) and Dau Group (Atlanta). We are looking for a Javascript Engineer to join our development team.
Based on our record, Freelancer.com seems to be a lot more popular than Hux. While we know about 259 links to Freelancer.com, we've tracked only 1 mention of Hux. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
I am friends with the founders of Hux and this is a constant problem. Contractor churn is just part of the model. If you are inundated with requests for service, why not hire a few people to seed the market? W-2 workers tend to be more likely to stick around. Source: almost 3 years ago
Freelancing platforms like Upwork, Freelancer, and Fiverr provide a gateway to showcase your skills and connect with clients seeking various services. If you get an order on any of them double down on it. Cold reach-out works, but you've to show something to them as a portfolio. Instagram is a good place, as I did. Source: 10 months ago
If my subscribers and views were multiplied by 100, it would have become a part-time job. I would be declaring income on my tax form, and keeping track of expenses. I might be considering hiring part-time editors on freelancer.com, but since they'd be independent contractors, they'd be just an expense to me. They'd be responsible for their own taxes. I once posted on reddit my thoughts on freelancer.com and I assume, that it does not have a high reputation among other redditors. Someone who hired freelancers on that very site said, that clearing a payment is very difficult on that site, which I could understand. So do you have also faced other problems on that side? I am also waiting for payment since two weeks. Other than that, I think that the layout looks... Source: 10 months ago
