Most times it was a reddit clone, like voat (which was reddit, but racist) and the actual alternatives were different enough to almost be off putting (like https://hubski.com/ - no images). Source: about 1 year ago
I couldn't get past sign up two times, once on answermug.com (the admins wouldn't respond when I mentioned my account wasn't approved, and asked why) and hubski.com (I can log in, but I can't post or comment and the admins still haven't responded to my emails about my problem). I like Hubski, it's a little small and slow rn but it's nice. Source: about 1 year ago
Have you tried hubski? It looks like it could use some new members to revive the site a little. I keep thinking I should make the effort to switch, at least for a while, and start posting content over there. Source: about 3 years ago
It's everywhere I get the news. If you want a deep dive, just go to France24.com or LeMonde.fr/en or even bbc.com/news. Source: about 1 year ago
Aight so the general idea here is it's not absolutely certain that Russia shot it and they're definitely denying it. Poland's trying to keep calm to avoid having to invoke article 4 and are leaning on the side of "accident" at the moment. This is almost certainly going to be fine, but if you want to stay up to date on it go to the BBC for decently unbiased reporting. Source: over 1 year ago
It's similar to the memory hole effect with online news sites. If you initially release an article with inaccurate or misrepresented headline and contents, then change it later on without any record of the change (something the BBC has repeatedly done on bbc.com/news) you get a difference in perception of a news event based on when someone saw/read the coverage. True. I visit news.sky.com and bbc.com/news front page daily and I only found about it yesterday. Source: about 3 years ago
