The method that seems to work most reliability with all devices and all ecosystems is a Zigbee2MQTT software hub running on a computer alongside Home Assistant. I learned about mobiletrans in this subreddit and used it to flawlessly transfer all of my messages. But as soon as I enable the "messages" toggle in iCloud (https://imgur.com/a/pR9PF2h), I see all of my texts from the last 4 years disappear from my phone. Source: almost 2 years ago
