The method that seems to work most reliability with all devices and all ecosystems is a Zigbee2MQTT software hub running on a computer alongside Home Assistant. Weird that Google is selling a six year old product that they haven’t EOLed. I can’t imagine all the chips we sourced in 2015 are all still available.
