It compares the incoming call and SMS telephone numbers against a database of known scammers, spammers and fraudsters. Huh. I'm really sorry to hear that. I used line2.com for a few years prior to 2018. Worked great. I did a bunch of international travel and could always rely on line 2 to get messages and phone calls out, back to the US. Source: 6 months ago
