Hipcamp allows to break down barriers normally set by private land access by the public. It's an amazing idea and it's probably going to keep expanding around the world because it's a win-win for both campers and landowners (local farms, ranches, etc). I had fantastic experiences and met wonderful people at Hipcamps!
Based on our record, Natural Atlas should be more popular than Hipcamp. It has been mentiond 3 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.

I highly suggest checking out Natural Atlas (https://naturalatlas.com/) by the same small team who made the CoTrex app (https://trails.colorado.gov/) for Colorado Parks and Wildflife. A really fantastic team building some absolutely gorgeous topographic basemaps from publicly available data. Hopefully they'll find time to add a slope angle overlay at some point. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
I highly suggest Natural Atlas. The cartography is impeccable and they’ve been adding features over the last year. Source: over 1 year ago
Try a recreational-themed map like naturalatlas.com. They will list most all known trails. Source: about 3 years ago
