  Keep a close eye on her eating habits and food safety though because if she has dementia that will become an issue. Also if she's on any medication now, she will have trouble dosing it correctly. • Some life hacks if you have elderly parents who live alone.

  I also suggest the Hero medicine dispenser. It’s a robot(ish) that holds up to 10 medications. You set the dispensing schedule on your phone. It makes a bunch of noise and sends a message to the person’s phone (maybe calls) to remind them to take their medication. You also can see how many pills they have remaining. • My mom wants her pills back.

  Mom was overdosing dad and he ended up with hyponatremia (low sodium in the blood) that nearly killed him. Based on someone's suggestion here, we got a Hero pill dispenser. All the meds are locked inside—you can control the schedule and adjust meds via an app, even receive alerts if a dose was missed, etc. I still had to write out instructions for mom (press the button) and I still get calls from her saying the...
