For programming ,apart from tutorials the thing that helps best is practice , If you want to practice then I recommend hackerrank.com to test your understanding of programming concepts. I played a couple rusty lake games a few years ago and stopped after Birthday. I want to continue with Theatre, but rustylake.com isn't working, I'm guessing because of ended Flash support.
