I consistently use Canva to create featured images for my blog. The free version itself is amazing.
User friendly app for beginners, also their features are easy to use, and they have fun features too. Also they have multiple templates whatever you make you have many options. Also they support beginners in start.

I'm not sure how much value making something "not fugly" really matters. Design should be based on functionality, not anti-fugliness. In my experience, design considerations should come after building a successful growth "feedback loop." (Or whatever you want to call it.) Anyone else using GoGuardian and have Canva setup as an App with SSO-integration to Google? We have Canva configured to appear in the Google "waffle" menu as an option, set to sign in with Google SSO. It all works fine, except today for some reason it's failing, but only when the GoGuardian VPN/Proxy app is active in the browser (so for all our students and faculty).
