Thanks for the feedback! One big distinction with the "site:https://news.ycombinator.com" hack is that the search on Hacker Search directly runs against the underlying link's contents, rather than whatever happens to be on HN. We also more directly leverage HN's curation by factoring in scores. Appreciate your suggestions; will look into building those! - Source: Hacker News / 22 days ago
Nice work! I'm sure you know that you can also search Google with site:https://news.ycombinator.com. If I were you I would probably think of a niche where one can get better results by searching HN and other relevant data sources. Another suggestion is not about the search so much but about the UI. One of the worse things about sites like HN is that it's really hard to... - Source: Hacker News / 22 days ago
I'm not sure how much value making something "not fugly" really matters. Design should be based on functionality, not anti-fugliness. User input does not need to be sanitized if it is programmatically inserted into the document as the value of a key in a regular dict section. So I added old keys to MultiDoge and the wallets synced up but the balances show in MultiDoge doesn't seem to be correct. I've checked all addresses that I've added against blockcypher.com and it shows 0 balance on all but one which shows the same on Blockcypher and in MultiDoge. Is MultiDoge malfunctioning (Most likely I guess)? It shows that it's synced with the latest block. Source: over 2 years ago
Thanks for that - really helpful video. Looks like my only option is to wait it out and have the transaction bounced back, but what I can't understand is that the receiver reckons they have it, yet when I try and look at the transaction id in blockstream.info its not there, but does show up under blockcypher.com Anyway, its coming up to a couple of weeks soon so will see what happens.
