  • Show HN: I'm 17 and wrote this guide on how CPUs run programs
Hi! I'm Lexi, I wrote this article/mini-book. There's a classic question of "what happens when you load a website?", but I've always been more interested in "what happens when you run a program?". About 3 months ago, I was really annoyed at myself for not knowing how to answer that question so I decided to teach myself. I taught myself everything else I know in programming, so this should be easy, right? NOPE!... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
  • Putting the “You” in CPU
Hi! I'm the person who made this thing! Some backstory on me: I'm 17 and left high school a year ago to work full-time at Hack Club (https://hackclub.com/). I've been programming for as long as I can remember, and started homeschooling about 6 years ago to focus more on that (and my other interests). Since I'm entirely self-taught, I haven't taken any college systems classes — and while I had picked up a... - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago

  • As long as there are 10 different streaming services and certain region restrictions they can gtfo. I'll be here downloading whatever I want.
Hello, I got used to use RARBG and now I am struggling a bit to find new good content online so I went on youtube to try to understand how to download movies and TV series for free using these "words" you showed and some hours latter what I understood is that the PLEX server is a tool for streaming files you have in one device to other devices. Then Radarr and Sonarr are used by PLEX to organize these movies and... Source: 10 months ago

  • Faster Highspeed Internet not faster Newsgroup downloads
Just upgraded to a 1.5 gb fiber connection and after much discussion with Telus I was actually able to get the advertised speeds (1440 Mbps) on my PC. However I found that my downloads from newshosting.com peaked at 120 MB/s then dropped to 40 MB/s. Anythoughts on what this might be? Throttling or is their speed limits on the newshosting side.
