We do this by creating open-source projects which serve the community like a transparent “bank” for nonprofits, a game console you can only get by building a game for it, a guide to assembly language, a cross-country hackathon on a train. Hack Club supports and grows our community by facilitating wholesome social spaces online and in-person. Source: over 1 year ago
Hack Club | Remote in USA | Contract | https://hackclub.com and https://github.com/hackclub I run Hack Club, which is a nonprofit that mostly helps high schoolers start programming clubs at their schools. We open source almost everything we do at https://github.com/hackclub/. You can read a little about a summer program we ran a couple months ago here:... - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Along with a group of tech-loving high schoolers, I'm running a fully virtual healthcare hackathon called NologyHacks! Worst case could use another app just for budgeting and GnuCash for general tracking of the current state of your accounts, and generating reports and such. Source: about 1 year ago
As of today (2/22/2023), gnucash.org seems to be up and running. Do the young folks still use "woot" as an exclamation of delight or is that already passe??😄. Source: about 1 year ago
I guess PART of my concern is that when you have a blank screen at gnucash.org for too long, it APPEARS to the outside world... People who might wish to consider using and supporting gnucash... that there is a problem that the organization is unable to handle and therefore the question arises "Are the team at gnucash competent or incompetent"? I am a fan of Open Source projects and I've known about GnuCash for some time. I've started an online personal finance course that uses GnuCash, HOWEVER, the gnucash.org site seems to have been down for days or weeks lately. What's up. I thought the pandemic was over and the 'ronavirus was going into obscurity... Am I wrong? Did the team all die off? Are they not taking this seriously? OR... Is there actually...
