  • Shot this using the Sony A7Cii handheld
I am no videographer and only read somewhere about gyro-stabilization and https://gyroflow.xyz So maybe that's an alternative to that software. Just leaving it here. Source: 6 months ago
  • Qt Creator 12 Released
Rust has quite decent support for QML though. One of the really famous video footage stabilizer apps uses Rust with QML: https://docs.gyroflow.xyz/app/technical-details/used-technologies, and that is a non trivial UI: https://gyroflow.xyz/. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
  • Hero 10 Black overheats in Time Warp - options?
I think you would get the same result if you just recorded a regular video (at whatever resolution you want and a minimal framerate), then pass it through something like Gyroflow and increase the speed. Downside — it’s not automatic and you can’t preview on the camera. Upside — it won’t overheat you have more options to tweak after the fact. Source: 10 months ago
  • A gimbal for travel or go handheld?
My buddy and I have been playing with Gyroflow (free and open source) for stabilization. It uses the A7C's gyro data to smooth out handheld footage. There are a ton of options to play with, too - much more to work with than Resolve, which is what we had been using. We've had solid results on the A7C and excellent results with the BMPCC6K. • Is there any alternative to sonic pi?
Check out ChucK also (https://chuck.cs.princeton.edu/). It's a very capable language and we'll documented. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Any programmers here? Curious how people have combined coding and music.
I am a programmer by trade but don't often combine it with my musical endeavors. I briefly messed with https://chuck.cs.princeton.edu/ for live coding shows in college but honestly its very restrictive. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is there music done using the generated patterns by a cross section of a 4d moving object?
Also, a programming language geared towards music can help with process-driven composition. Max/MSP or ChucK for instance. Source: about 2 years ago
  • The Haskell School of Music (book) [pdf]
I haven't coded music in haskell, but I've coded it in Max/MSP and ChucK and I enjoyed them both https://chuck.cs.princeton.edu/ https://cycling74.com/products/max. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
