Some Python libraries have a C/C++ core that relies on libraries such as Cairo and Boost and many others. Graph-tool: This is the one I use the least, although it is probably one of the most powerful. It lets you quickly run advanced community detection analyses like stochastic block models, hierarchical partitions, etc. It also has a fantastic visualization suite for making gorgeous figures. Visio isnt hard, but stencils are a pain in the ass. So, I suggest draw.io instead, also its free and they have both a cloud GUI tool and desktop tool on Git. I have not used visio since 2019. Source: about 1 year ago
