GPS Visualizer VS Mapserver

With our current setup the vehicles get back to the garage at the end of the day. The dashcams stay powered up for a few hours. They connect to our company wifi. A script on a server queries the dashcams and downloads both LQ and HQ videos, along with the matching gps files. Hi everyone, I am game developer and I am recreating an Institute in a game it's roughly 750x750m, I need a source where I can get elevation data to recreate terrain in the game engine. I tried using the path in google earth pro, and convert it to .gpx etc using gpsvisualizer.com etc, but I couldn't get good results. I haven't tried MapLibre. I'm learning that there are lots of alternatives to Google Maps and Mapbox which I love to see. I learned of Leaflet through GPS Visualizer[1]. It's an excellent resource. They also have a tool that will augment your GPX file with elevation data[2], though I'm not sure what source they use. If you want to get into web GeoDjango is a popular option for the backend, but you could also learn to roll your own with flask/FastAPI. You also have some choice of JavaScript libraries for the frontend, [Leaflet]() and [OpenLayers]() are likely the most popular frameworks, but there are others (personally I'd recommend OpenLayers as it's the only one backed by OSGeo as far as I know). GeoServer and MapServer both have full OGC services, WMS, WMTS, WFS, etc. They have caching and tiling. Accessing OGC services through a web server will require an OGC server. Source: about 2 years ago
