  Https://gnucash.org/ is a pretty solid free and open source option. The catch being its UI probably isn't as refined as some other options, and I'm not sure how/if online banking connections work, so can be a bit manual. Source: 12 months ago

  Could checkout https://gnucash.org/. Probably not as nice as a UI as some other options, but its quite robust in terms of tracking your finances. It has a budgeting feature, but I never used it. Worst case could use another app just for budgeting and GnuCash for general tracking of the current state of your accounts, and generating reports and such. Source: about 1 year ago

  I guess PART of my concern is that when you have a blank screen at gnucash.org for too long, it APPEARS to the outside world... People who might wish to consider using and supporting gnucash... that there is a problem that the organization is unable to handle and therefore the question arises "Are the team at gnucash competent or incompetent"? I've started an online personal finance course that uses GnuCash, HOWEVER, the gnucash.org site seems to have been down for days or weeks lately. What's up.   Quite some time went by as I read about Financial Modeling Prep, an at this time relatively new finance API, in some online forum. It seemed very promising and suitable, as it was affordable, offered real-time prices, and also covered European assets. Of course, there were also some minor downsides, but more or less, all of my requirements were met, so the project was not dead at all but could finally continue. Source: over 1 year ago

• Best source of financial data?

  I use fmp. There are some limitations compared to others. The pros are its easy to integrate via REST and its free to use all thw historicals for reports and price data. Source: over 1 year ago

• Sources for Historical Market Data

  Another good source is https://site.financialmodelingprep.com/ I only request the financial statements but they also offer historical price quotes and stock prices for 1m candles for the last 50 years. They have a free tier but I do not know if the market data is part o it. Other prices start with 10$/month. I can not tell you if the 1m/1d candles are any good as I am only interested in SEC statements and news so... Source: over 1 year ago
