Dead simple to use; download the ISO. Use balana etcher to burn to an SD card. Open the boot drive and drop your wpa/wifi config into /boot/user-data. The most successful one I have right now is writing streak. The old version of the app grew to 5000+ users mostly via word of mouth. I don't think many of them were very active, since I didn't do a good job supporting and debugging the app (because of my health stuff, and also some character flaws I guess).
