If you have the budget give getmyboat.com a try, however many larger vessels are located in lake Ontario and will require a trip down the welland canal and of course dealing with customs. Thanks. I checked out getmyboat.com ... There are 6 sailboats available for the entire SF bay, and they are all captained charters (half day or hourly). Same in the San Juans -- 4 available. Depending on where you end up staying, consider flying to Burbank (BUR). airport. Its vastly smaller than LAX, so quicker to get in and out of, shorter lines at security, etc. And its closer than LAX to places like Hollywood. If CT means New York metro area, you can get nonstop to Burbank on JetBlue from JFK. Otherwise likely looking at at least one stop, but I imagine there's no non-stops to LAX either unless...
