We use Go for the backend and TypeScript with React for the frontend. We also rely on the OpenID Connect protocol and Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML). As algorithm for passwords we use Argon2, AES256 for data encryption and TLS 1.2+ for transport encryption. For signing JSON web tokens, we work with the Elliptic Curves Digital Signature.

Ideally, I would recommend not handling and storing passwords yourself. It is preferable to use an identity provider (IdP), such as Azure AD B2C, Auth0, or FusionAuth.
