We're actually making an app for this, it's currently only on Android as a beta but we're developing the new version also on iOs :) we called it FriendZone to make it clear from the very name that its purpose it's not dating. Ranch is a pretty well optimized and battle hardened tcp acceptor. It powers the Cowboy/Phoenix server which scales to extreme level of concurrency and low latency.
