  I worked on freelancer.com for 3 months doing mostly side gigs. WIth the payment, it wasn't much of an issue for me. The first payment indeed, it was more "special", as in, it took 2 months until I got the money in my account. But any other payment after that, were processed within days (at worst).   I once posted on reddit my thoughts on freelancer.com and I assume, that it does not have a high reputation among other redditors. Someone who hired freelancers on that very site said, that clearing a payment is very difficult on that site, which I could understand. So do you have also faced other problems on that side? • What software would you recommend for simple structural analysis?

  For what it's worth I did find an online structural analysis tool that seems simple enough to use and affordable called SkyCiv that I might try, but from your suggestions and the small amount of research I did since, I think I might feel more comfortable doing the calculations by hand and maybe compare my results to the software simulation as confirmation.
