With 95% successful placements, Index is one of the world's leading outsourcing partners for hiring and managing high-performing CEE- and LATAM-based developers. Our vision is to end the brain drain in emerging markets by connecting the world’s top teams with the brightest engineering minds for long-term development projects. Hundreds of innovative companies like Perforce, Venly, Glopal, or Entrupy trust Index to get access to the top 3% of expertly vetted tech talent and save up to 40% on product development.
The best thing about Index is not only hiring globally with fewer costs, but also that it handles all formalities and legal hassles during the engagement. You don’t have to worry about anything else other than assigning tasks to your remote working software developers.
I simply enjoy all the remote working perks. The first thing is efficiency. I need less time to complete tasks, compared to working on-site. When you’re in the office for an eight-hour schedule, there’s so much distraction, you take more breaks, fight up the noise, and end up working fewer hours. When you are at home, you do the same work in less time and feel that you can get the flexibility to compensate for that commuting time with something beneficial to you. The second thing is working literally from anywhere. I can work from a terrace or work in a coworking space in the company of my peers.

If my subscribers and views were multiplied by 100, it would have become a part-time job. I would be declaring income on my tax form, and keeping track of expenses. I might be considering hiring part-time editors on freelancer.com, but since they'd be independent contractors, they'd be just an expense to me. They'd be responsible for their own taxes. I worked on freelancer.com for 3 months doing mostly side gigs. WIth the payment, it wasn't much of an issue for me. The first payment indeed, it was more "special", as in, it took 2 months until I got the money in my account. But any other payment after that, were processed within days (at worst).
