You can try FL Studio for free, by downloading the trial from their website (https://image-line.com) I think its a forever trial, and you have access to all the stock plugins, its just restricted in various ways (you can't open saved projects, for instance) but if your just trying DAW's on for size, that won't matter. I either make the MIDI files myself or find them online. My workflows for making them: - either painstakingly transcribe a piece note-for note using midieditor or - find a youtube video of a good rendition - download as MP3 - convert to midi using https://piano-scribe.glitch.me/ (I wrote my own software for this step but Piano Scribe is about 8% better. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
