I made an app to learn bodyweight fitness! - https://fitloop.app Got into learning bodyweight fitness from reddit and lacking access to a proper gym back in the day. Started initially as a simple webpage, I've now built a mobile app that earns about $1000/mo, its a way for beginners to get into bodyweight workouts and learn exercises with youtube videos. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
  • Best tools for analytics/metrics/measuring app performance?
I have an app in both the iOS and Android store (this one), and am interested in getting better insights on usage, but am a bit lost on which tools to use. Source: over 2 years ago

  • I'm FINALLY running without pain!
When I was learning how to sprint (300m intervals) I used Moov and it was amazing. Also tracks cadence and does the voice over coaching. Tells me to speed up, swing my arms more, etc. Can't recommend it enough, and it's probably even better since mine was an earlier version. https://welcome.moov.cc/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Use Heart Rate on Oura with Apple Watch for Workout?
You could also try something like the MOOV HRM which goes in a headband on your head or on your ankle. https://welcome.moov.cc. Source: about 2 years ago
  • I'm looking for a GPS device that is not a smart watch! Something like a waistband clip or armband can just track my runs, no interface or button... and then when I'm back home, it syncs with my phone or Strava. Does that exist?

  • Do not run with boobs
According to Runner's World: Complete Guide to Running, you want to walk before you run. And you can start with 30 min. Of walking daily. This helps your body with conditioning. I also highly recommend using something that will assist you with cadence to prevent injury. Some years ago, I had gotten my running time down to sub-7 minutes again for the first time since high school, but was experiencing incredible... Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Running watches for the recreational runner - are they needed?
Not a watch, but I still like the moov now. It's clearly not being developed anymore but is a bargain now, assuming the app continues to work when the company inevitably goes away. Ignore the price on the front page and click through to the shop and it should show up as a lot cheaper. Source: almost 3 years ago
