Did you download the client from here? If not, that's the version you want to download. After that you'll need to log in to the [https://sqex.to/Msp](Mogstation) to renew your sub. Perhaps try to look at some actual games that were made within the last 5 years, and look at their player base. IIRC hordes.io was made by one very talented individual working full time for 3 years. It is fairly simple, but it has a decent player base.
