Warpinator doesn't work on my network so I use feem.io on windows to transfer things over to the deck itself then copy and paste it over to the sd card once its on there (the free version transfers it over to the documents folder). This isn't really Chromecast - it's 'raspicast' and needs it's own app. There are tons of similarly titled howtos that make it sound like you can run your own chromecast server -- you can't, unless you buy an expensive thing from airserver.com or a cheap chromecast.
