Lemmy is part of the Fediverse. The Fediverse is "decentralized, autonomous networks running on free open software on a myriad of servers across the world." Since Lemmy is hosted on multiple servers and runs on multiple instances, it is impossible for the entirety of it to go down. I use Twitter. The Tweetdeck website is perfect for this. You can make lists for the topics of your choice and put whatever accounts you want into those lists. You never see a single dumb user comment unless you specifically want to. Source: 12 months ago
