I think a PO33 is a great sampler and I love it (I made some videos with it) BUT if you've never made any music you'd better start with a DAW like FL or Ableton, Cubase ecc.. I recommend also Fast tracker II (https://16-bits.org/ft2.php) which is free, It's a great piece of software that can achieve a lot. Not wanting to pay a hefty license fee led me away from Ableton and into the loving arms of Renoise. It has an unlimited free trial with no restrictions, but a full license is $80 per FULL POINT RELEASE. That is: if you pay at v3.2, you don't pay again until v4.2.
