Neither of us have social media besides Reddit to begin with. However, with our families scattered all over the place, we were finding text chains were getting unwieldy. We use FamilyAlbum now and couldn't be happier with it. Very private, easy to use for the grandparents, and they make adorable highlight reel movies. I managed to solve it by generating a bitmap font with the Shoebox. It automatically trims every character in a font thus removing the empty space. This solution is far from the best, but unfortunately I didn't find any alternative for adjusting kerning (individual letter spacing). Source: over 1 year ago
