I chose GnuCash because it is free and mature accounting software. I use Gnucash. I do know that it does have bank syncing capabilities, but I have never set this up myself. I am certainly not and accounting expert, so don't take my word for it, but this is probably equivalent to Quicken. It can also import quicken files.
