Flipgrid is amazing for short recorded commentaries (I suggest ~ 5 minutes) and then you don't have to listen to death by presentation over multiple class periods. I advise giving students a specific point of focus and a structure (theme or stylistic feature). Source: 5 months ago

Well, I teach primarily first-year-writing courses and discussion is a significant component of the course. For brainstorming sessions or icebreakers, I use Flipgrid. I have a friend who teaches math and she uses Flipgrid for demonstrations (she has students work out problems on Flipgrid and they would on the board in class).
