The only one I know of at the moment is Endless OS. I used to think they were untrustworthy but they work with Gnome extensively so it should be good to use. I’m not sure of any other project that is well-maintained that might suit your needs. Source: over 1 year ago
For my drives at work, I use Eraser. It'll let you wipe entire drives or just unallocated space. A single pass of all zeroes is sufficient (listed as British HMG IS5 (Baseline) (1 pass)" in the program. Source: 11 months ago
