I am using https://masto.host/ for Mastodon and https://elest.io/ for Lemmy. They are fully managed. I'm not worried about who owns my data, but I do want to have a stable identity. The first Mastodon server I signed up with mysteriously disappeared after a couple of weeks, so I decided I was better off paying a small monthly fee to put it on my own domain. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
Maybe not exactely what you're looking for (not open source and not non profit) but there is some solutions out there like this one: https://elest.io/. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
I have created Elestio (https://elest.io) to address this pain, we take care of all aspects (infra, deployments, security, dns, smtp, backups, monitoring, alerts, updates, migrations ...) and we do it for a catalog of 233 open source software and also for CI/CD pipelines to deploy your own code from a Github/Gitlab repo. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
What is the difference to https://elest.io/? Source: 11 months ago
If you want something more fully managed, I don't think anybody offers fully managed lemmy instances just yet but you might be able to find a company that already does other apps who is willing to add lemmy to their repertoire. elest.io already offers fully managed mastodon, peertube, and owncast instances so it seems like it might be up their alley if you're looking for that. I was gonna link to https://mastodon.social/@_inside/112440596781136013; but you're right, it says that "iPadOS running on M4" has "Secure Exclave"; not that "M4 has Secure Exclave". Though I will admit I definitely misread it that way at first. - Source: Hacker News / 9 days ago
Did you miss the part where Chris Espinosa said "That’s not Sherry Livingston"? Chris also has a follow-up post not shown in Cabel's blog where he says there aren't any photos of Sherry online: https://mastodon.social/@Cdespinosa/112391173495267599. - Source: Hacker News / 28 days ago
