If they want kids to do something during what is effectively a 2 hour detention, used a bunch of age appropriate reading materials/videos, accompanying worksheets, and perhaps a short essay. If you want to digitize it, make a self-guided Edpuzzle. Source: about 2 years ago

I 100% feel this on an ethereal level. My school recently went from Google Classroom to Infinite Campus. It may just be me, but I cannot adjust to the number of clicks I need to make to do the same stuff I was doing before. Maybe I'm just used to GC... For some positives, I really have found a couple I like that seem to be pretty popular. For videos I've been liking EdPuzzle. Not the most engaging but better... Source: about 2 years ago

For flipping this class, it may seem as simple as shifting everything. The lecture (as a video on edpuzzle.com with imbedded questions) becomes the homework. The problems done at home are instead done in class.. Source: almost 3 years ago

I don't know of any other site that offers those features in "a classroom" for free although you could probably cobble something together with Github Classroom and/or the the CS50 IDE. Source: over 2 years ago
