Questions and Answers

As answered by people managing Easybom and Partstack.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Easybom's answer

Web Development: built using web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create the user interface and provide interactive features. Backend Development: utilizes server-side programming languages such as Python, PHP, or Node.js to handle data processing, database interactions, and server-side logic. Database Management: A database management system (DBMS) is used to store and retrieve data related to electronic components, distributors, pricing, and inventory. Common DBMS options include MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. API Integration: Integrate with APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) provided by component distributors to fetch real-time inventory and pricing information. This allows users to search for components and compare prices from multiple distributors. Data Scraping: To gather data from various component distributors, we utilize web scraping techniques to extract information from distributor websites and aggregate it into a unified database. Security Measures: incorporates security measures such as SSL/TLS encryption to ensure secure communication between users and the website, as well as protection against common web vulnerabilities.

Partstack's answer:

An array of cutting-edge technologies come together to build our platform's "technological harmony." We take advantage of both client-side and server-side rendering to parse and manage the flow of data across our multi-vendor marketplace. We utilize direct supplier uploads and some programmatic interfacing to collect real-time pricing and inventory data to populate our supplier stack. Technologies such as Cloudflare and SSL certificates are used to ensure user authentication, data encryption, and overall platform security. Finally, several in-house, custom-built proprietary technologies are used to power our search engine, stack logic, and other features of our marketplace.
