I would suggest trying out decks on free simulators like duelingnexus.com first before you decide on what to invest on. You'll be swimming in free gems as a new player but you'll find it'll dry up pretty fast, its better to get a decent feel for a deck and how it plays before you spend your gems building it. Yu-Gi-Oh! Dueling Nexus (a simulator that runs in your web browser, easily the most convenient option out of anything I've listed. If you're literally just doing this to test strategies out, which I'm pretty you are, then this is probably what you want to use). Source: about 1 year ago
