What whiteboard app to use is a bit of an open question, as it's unfortunately hard to have a viable business model for them. I've had a few I've really enjoyed, only for them to go under. All of my teams are remote so I feel you. My favorite tool for this is Figjam but Miro is nearly as good. Everyone connects to a virtual board and puts stickies on the board. The software includes a timer and even voting tools that are easy to use and visual for everyone.
